Overview: In May 2014, we undertook a project to design and install an aluminum headache rack and an auxiliary fuel tank for a work pickup truck. The project aimed to enhance the safety and functionality of the vehicle for our client, a professional working in an environment requiring reliable and safe equipment.

Design and Construction: The project involved multiple trades, including design, welding/fabrication, and electrical work. The key materials used were industry-standard 6061 aluminum alloy and off-the-shelf electrical components tailored to fit the specific needs of the project. The headache rack was designed to protect the cab and driver from shifting heavy loads, while the auxiliary fuel tank provided an additional fuel supply for work machinery and small engines on the job site.
